This month, MLA Tanya Fir presented the DQCA with a $42,000 cheque to help fund our upcoming rink shed replacement project in Douglas Glen! As you can see in the photo, our current shed is a bit worse for wear and in need of replacement.
Funding comes from the Community Facility Enhancement Program through the Government of Alberta Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) grant.
We were excited to meet with Tanya and accept the government grant, which will be put to good use for the community of Douglas Glen.
More details to come about the shed replacement, as zoning permits and utility right of way modifications are currently underway with the City of Calgary.
