When you want to try your hand at gardening, but don’t want to dig up a section of the lawn for something you may decide isn’t for you after all…

If you live in a condo or you rent, so you aren’t able to plant a garden…

The DouglasQuarry Community Garden is nestled in between the rink and the baseball diamond, across from Swifty’s in Douglasdale.  It is made up of individual plots that members of the DouglasQuarry Community Association can lease for the growing season.

If you would like to grow your own fresh organic food, you don’t need to have a green thumb; no experience is necessary.  You will learn various tips and tricks from other gardeners.  The more experienced gardeners are always happy to share methods that have worked for them.

If you have any questions, or would like to register for a plot, please send an email to garden@dqca.ca.
