Coaches and Assistant Coaches will be provided access to coach lesson plans at the beginning of the season that includes easy warm-up activates, games, and drills for the various levels. Coaches are not required to have an extensive knowledge of soccer; the Timbits program is a fun-first league and focuses on teamwork, sportsmanship, and individual confidence. Most teams will focus on general movement and coordination, with soccer techniques added for more advanced players at the higher divisions.
The responsibility for managing the equipment bag is shared between the Coach and the Assistant Coaches. Equipment Pickup will take place on April 19 (more info to be sent out via email).
To make sure coaches and assistant coaches are ready for kick-off, we’re hosting three orientation sessions at Monsignor J.S. Smith School from 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Please select ONE of the following Wednesday sessions that fits your schedule:
- Wednesday, March 18th
- Wednesday, March 25th
- Wednesday, April 1st
Please come to your session with indoor shoes, water, and activewear.
These sessions are a great chance to walk through the season flow, grab key info, and meet your fellow coaches. We look forward to seeing you there!
If you have any questions, please contact the League Manager at timbits@dqca.ca.
