Timbits is a recreational outdoor soccer league of over 400 children, run entirely by volunteers, and sponsored by Tim Horton’s and the Calgary Minor Soccer Association. The league includes U4, U6 and U8 programs for kids.

South West Calgary Ring Road (SWCRR) – Public Info Sessions

Calgary Ring Road

Alberta Transportation, Mountain View Partners, and KGL Constructors will be hosting public information sessions on February 26 and 28 to provide a look ahead at the 2019 construction season for the Southwest Calgary Ring Road (SWCRR). Display materials will feature information on the road alignment, highlight key construction activities and identify upcoming traffic impacts.

Representatives from The City of Calgary will also be in attendance to provide details on projects in and around the SWCRR.

The sessions are drop-in events, so you can attend at any time between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Reason: Bridge demolition and girder erection

Start date: Friday, February 1, 2019, at 8:00 p.m.
Completion date: Monday, February 4, 2019, at 6:00 a.m.
Work hours: 24-hours a day until completion

Enhanced Landscape Maintenance Program (ELM)

Community Reaffirmation Vote


Every five years, the Enhanced Landscape Maintenance (ELM) communities are required to re-evaluate program participation by holding a public meeting.  The community must vote to confirm ongoing support for the tax levy.

Only property owners in the Douglasdale community can participate in the Community Reaffirmation Vote.

This vote will be held at the Douglasdale Eaglequest Golf Course on April, 8, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

In order to participate in the vote, residents will need to validate their property ownership by producing a current driver’s license and their most recent property tax assessment.
